The American Motorcycle Dealer magazine, the rights holder of the international AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, required domestic representation to the lead up of the championship in Sturgis, SD. In order to ensure a significant show at the Harley-Davidson pavilion, a marketing and promotional program was required to incent North American builders to participate in the event.
As AMD was located in England, they engaged Biker Pros as their North American Bureau to represent the event. Responsibilities included collecting fees, handling operational expenses, and promoting the championship.
Biker Pros created a publicity plan and produced a promotional website, email marketing campaigns, telemarketing follow ups and event promotions at select rallies across the United States.
Biker Pros’ plan revolved around creating an environment where the builders could utilize the World Championship to invest in their future by participating in the event. We added video interviews and encouraged utilization of photography, authorized logos, social media and video.
The results of our engagement included new sponsorship, increased media coverage and stabilization of American builder participation in a down economy.
AMD has currently engaged Biker Pros to assist in the transition of moving the Championship from Sturgis to Big Bike Europe, Messe Essen, Germany for the 2013 season.
